What’s Next?

How often you lie to yourself?

Essentially lying to our own self and making excuses are almost the same!. I skipped the last day. I didn't write a single line last day.

I usually write blog entries in the morning. I had to drive in the early hours. so disrupted sleep and Woke up late.

These are the excuses I have given to myself not to write. But I had a full day in my hand and did I utilize it properly and fruitfully?

To an extend yes. Maybe because my brain is totally mandated to my self not to be creative in the hours after the morning. Anyway, I promised myself to write something in the evening. Did I do that?

Of course Not.

I told myself an excuse of ‘being tired and depressed’. Am I both last night?

A bit, a little bit.

So finally here I am, Blessed with another day, added another 24 hours(Hopefully) into my account.

Moving on. I used to tell a lot of excuses (fortunately, I make fewer excuses with others) to my own mind and soul. Still, I do the thing.

When I was in the hostel for my post-graduation I used to skip the midnight protests and other unnecessary ‘Party programs’ conducted by the totalitarian- fascist regime of the college by making excuses about my ailing health. To a greater extend that was essential for me. But I escaped everything they did(Which cost the productivity of all students by a lot) fortunately.

Now, the mind loves to procrastinate. He is so fond of it. Thus have to engage in something after each assigned work is finished. Like any other human being addicted to the 5/6 inch screen in our hands, I love to lie down and scroll indefinitely.

This cost our lives. In one of the previous posts, I told that I have been literally living for screen more than half of the year.

I have told myself, Just to watch this one only, then the next one, the next one. the list goes on and I am lost in the illusion of the digital world.

however, there should be some tactics we try to employ for a better life. Recently I have learned something very common and it is destined to make difference. It is simply asking ‘What’s Next?’

Just after waking up, what's next — Meditation.

next? — making bed

next — brushing the teeth...

the list goes on. Towards the end of each thing we do, I try to ask ‘what's next’.

then the other job appears and I do.

But as a lazy person, if I forget to ask the question to myself, I just finish one work then go to bean bag or chair or sometimes bed to ‘relax’ and ‘stick my eyes in the world inside the screen’.

So, the tip for the day Is always ask ‘ What’s Next’. If the answer is ‘Take rest’ go and have a quick nap or something that makes you relax.

But if the same answer repeats, you really need to inspect yourself :)
